Peaks and Valleys 2010 - Saturday March 27
Here
are the results from the 2010 Peaks and
Valleys race. We had two divisions this year,
solo runners,
and solo racers who could use bike and run. While all entrants were
competing solo, many teams were formed so friends or family could run
together.
We now have a new course record for the run-only division. Jacob Bencke
has bettered the ViaSat record by 13 minutes and the new record is 5
hours even. By Jakes more accurate timepiece he claims 4h 59m 50s and
while we do not dispute that, it goes in the record book as 5 hours.
Well
done everyone. We hoped for a cooler day, but the 80F high was cooler
than the 90's we had in past years. We hope to see you again
in 2011, and we hope the heat will one day disappear.
Competitors
on the course are ranked first by the number of checkpoints
visited, then by their time.
